CUSTOM CULINARY NUTRITION PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Bring your vision to the table.
Thoughtfully developed culinary nutrition programs that connect your expertise with the way people cook, eat, and live.
Whether you’re creating a workshop, building a group series, or developing educational resources for your organization, I can help turn your ideas into an engaging experience—with the curriculum, recipes, and materials to bring it to life.
BUILT AROUND YOUR GOALS
You have a vision. Let’s give it structure.
You know the people you want to reach and the difference you want to make. Now you need a program that brings those intentions together.
What should participants learn? How will they practice it? Which recipes and activities will make the information meaningful? And what materials will help them keep using what they’ve learned?
I develop culinary nutrition programs that connect these pieces—from the overall framework to the resources participants take home.
The result is a cohesive experience designed around your audience, your goals, and how you plan to deliver it.
WHAT WE CAN CREATE
More ways to bring nutrition into everyday life.
Workshops & Cooking Experiences
Single-session workshops, cooking demonstrations, and hands-on experiences that pair nutrition education with practical skills.
Group Programs & Educational Series
Multi-session programs with a clear learning progression, coordinated recipes and activities, and resources that support participants between sessions.
Courses & Curriculum
Curriculum for live or self-paced learning, including learning objectives, lesson outlines, presentation content, and opportunities to apply new skills.
Recipes & Participant Resources
Recipe collections, workbooks, food guides, activity sheets, and other materials that help people put nutrition guidance into practice.
Projects can combine several of these elements or focus on one specific need.
THOUGHTFUL FROM START TO FINISH
Every piece has a purpose.
Depending on your project, development may include:
Program strategy: Audience, goals, format, and a clear direction for the experience.
Curriculum structure: Learning objectives, session plans, and a logical progression of content.
Teaching materials: Presentation decks, facilitator notes, discussion prompts, and demonstration outlines.
Recipes and culinary activities: Food experiences selected or developed to reinforce the learning goals.
Participant resources: Workbooks, handouts, recipe guides, and practical tools for use beyond the session.
Delivery guidance: Recommendations for timing, preparation, equipment, and adapting the experience to your setting.
We’ll agree on the deliverables before work begins, so you know exactly what your project includes.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Designed for the people you serve.
I work with professionals and organizations looking to make nutrition education more practical, engaging, and connected to food.
That might include:
Registered dietitians developing a new workshop, group program, or educational offer.
Workplace wellness teams creating experiences for employees.
Community organizations building food and nutrition programming.
Healthcare practices adding culinary experiences to their services.
Food brands developing educational recipes and resources.
Educators expanding an existing curriculum.
You can come with a detailed brief, an existing program that needs further development, or an idea you’re ready to explore.
MEET YOUR DEVELOPMENT PARTNER
Nutrition expertise. Culinary perspective. A teacher’s eye.
I’m Shauna McQueen, MS, RD—a registered dietitian, culinary educator, and the founder of Food School.
My background brings together nutrition science, chef training, behavior change, and curriculum development. I’ve developed educational content and wellbeing programming across corporate, educational, and culinary settings, including work with organizations such as Barclays, Spotify, and Takeda.
I also created Culinary Nutrition in Practice, Food School’s professional training program for dietitians who want to bring food and cooking into their work.
When I develop a program, I think about more than the information it contains. I consider how it will feel to teach, how participants will engage with it, and what will help them use it in their own lives.
HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER
A clear path from idea to experience.
1. Share your vision.
Tell me about your audience, goals, timeline, and what you’d like to create. We’ll start with a conversation to explore the project and whether we’re a good fit.
2. Define the project.
You’ll receive a proposal outlining the recommended approach, deliverables, timeline, investment, and revision process.
3. Develop the program.
We’ll establish the program framework before moving into the content, recipes, and materials, with agreed opportunities for your feedback along the way.
4. Prepare for delivery.
You’ll receive the completed materials and a handoff conversation to walk through the program and its intended use.
PROJECT SCOPE & INVESTMENT
Custom work starts with a clear scope.
Each project is quoted individually based on the depth of development, number of sessions, materials needed, and intended use.
A focused workshop has different needs from a complete educational series. Your proposal will make the scope and investment clear before we begin.
Have a budget in mind? Include it in your inquiry so I can recommend a realistic approach.
A FEW QUESTIONS
Before we begin…
-
No. You should have a sense of who you want to serve and what you want the program to accomplish, but we can refine the topic, format, and structure together.

Yes. We can build from your existing content, recipes, or resources and identify what needs to be developed to create a cohesive program.
If you mainly want feedback on a program you’ve already built, my Culinary Nutrition Program Review may be a better fit.

Yes. We can discuss using your existing brand guidelines and incorporating your logo, colors, and fonts into the agreed materials.
-
Yes. You may need a curriculum framework, a recipe collection, participant materials, or another defined part of a larger program. Share what you need, and we’ll explore a suitable scope.
-
The timeline depends on the project’s size, complexity, and my availability. Include your target delivery or launch date in your inquiry. We’ll confirm a schedule before work begins.
-
Teaching and facilitation can be discussed as part of your project. If you’d like me to deliver a workshop, demonstration, or training, please mention that in your inquiry so it can be scoped separately.
-
We’ll clarify how you intend to use the materials—including repeat delivery, internal training, or a paid educational offer—and specify usage rights and file formats in your proposal.
LET’S CREATE SOMETHING USEFUL
What would you like to bring to life?
Tell me a little about your idea, the people you want to reach, and the support you’re looking for.
