Have a story worth sharing?
We're always hungry for fresh perspectives.
Food School Quarterly is a digital publication exploring the connection between food, cooking, nutrition, and well-being through thoughtful stories, kitchen inspiration, original recipes, and conversations with people doing interesting things in the food world.
We believe that everyone has a story to tell, and some of the most interesting conversations happen around food.
We're inviting registered dietitians, chefs, food writers, educators, researchers, and curious minds to share their ideas.
What we’re looking for…
Stories & Perspectives
Thoughtful articles, personal essays, practical guides, and fresh perspectives on culinary nutrition, food culture, cooking, and the ways food shapes our lives.
Recipes & Culinary Inspiration
Creative, approachable recipes, cooking techniques, ingredient spotlights, and ideas that help people feel more confident and inspired in the kitchen.
People Worth Knowing
Do you know someone doing exciting, innovative, or meaningful work in the food world? We'd love to hear about them! You're welcome to nominate yourself, too.
Currently in the Kitchen: Our Holiday Issue
Our inaugural holiday issue is in development, and we're especially interested in stories exploring food traditions, holiday flavors, gratitude, community, and inclusive celebrations.
Holiday issue pitches: Please submit by November 6, 2026.
Have an idea that doesn't fit the holiday theme? We'd still love to hear it. We're also collecting ideas and potential contributors for future issues.
Pitch us your idea!
You don't need a finished article or a perfectly polished proposal. Just tell us a little about yourself and what you'd like to share.
Submitting an idea doesn't guarantee publication. We'll be in touch if there's an opportunity to collaborate.
